
During a town hall on Tuesday, Rep. Glenn Ivey (D-MD) voiced his criticism of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), urging the Democratic Party to consider a change in leadership. Ivey expressed frustration over Schumer’s handling of recent legislative decisions.
Specifically, Ivey pointed to the GOP’s continuing resolution to fund the government for the rest of the fiscal year, saying he believed it was crucial to oppose the bill. He emphasized that maintaining spending levels similar to those under President Biden was not enough and that stronger resistance was needed.
