The Trump administration is set to impose fines of $998 per day on illegal immigrants who fail to comply with a deportation order and do not leave the United States. According to Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin, immigrants should use the CBP Home app to voluntarily self-deport.
McLaughlin warned that failure to leave the country would result in significant daily fines, with each day of non-compliance after the final deportation order costing $998. She emphasized that these measures aim to encourage illegal immigrants to leave voluntarily to avoid the penalties.
