The NYPD is investigating a noose found on a rooftop in Jackson Heights, Queens, as a hate crime. Two men were seen tying the noose on March 25 at 82-26 Northern Blvd before fleeing. The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force is handling the case, though the suspects remain unidentified.
Authorities described the suspects as two men, one in a black sweat set and the other in a black hoodie with a burgundy vest. While the motive is unclear, speculation suggests racial animus. No injuries were reported.

In unrelated news, Miriam Yarimi, 35, crashed her car after claiming she was “possessed” and had the “devil” inside her. The crash killed Natasha Saada and her daughters, Diana (7) and Deborah (5), and severely injured Saada’s 4-year-old son, Philip. Yarimi, now in Bellevue Hospital’s prison ward, faces manslaughter charges.
Yarimi, who once received a $2 million NYPD lawsuit settlement, had a history of reckless driving. Following the crash, her social media accounts were flooded with accusations, labeling her a “murderer.” A funeral for the victims was held on Sunday.
