A woman in Ohio lost her job after writing an offensive message on a restaurant bill instead of leaving a tip. The incident occurred at Cazuelas Mexican Restaurant & Cantina in Columbus, where Stephanie Lovins wrote, “I hope Trump deports you!!!” and “Zero, you suck,” on her $87.84 bill.
The receipt was shared on Facebook, quickly gaining viral attention. Lovins, a long-time employee at Century 21, tried to explain the situation, claiming her credit card had been stolen. However, CCTV footage confirmed she was the one who wrote the hateful message.
Century 21 acted swiftly, condemning the incident and confirming Lovins’ termination. They emphasized that hate had no place in their brand. Cazuelas Restaurant also publicly supported their staff, reaffirming their commitment to respect and tolerance.
The server targeted by Lovins, Ricardo, later received support through a GoFundMe campaign. The campaign raised over $21,000 for him, highlighting the public’s support for workers facing discrimination.

This incident reflects rising tensions over immigration in the U.S. and growing instances of public backlash against hateful actions. Such cases, often labeled “FAFO” (F*** Around and Find Out), are becoming more common in the current social climate.
