Former Senator Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) criticized his corruption case as a “political prosecution” after being sentenced to 11 years in prison. Speaking outside the federal courthouse in New York, he argued that the justice system was corrupt, drawing parallels to the legal challenges faced by former President Donald Trump.
Menendez echoed Trump’s claims, stating, “President Trump was right,” and called for reforms to address what he perceived as a corrupt system. He expressed hope that Trump would restore integrity by cleaning up the judicial process.
