A devastating bus accident struck Yocalla, Bolivia, on February 17, 2025, leaving at least 28 people dead and 14 others injured after the vehicle plunged 2,600 feet into a deep ravine in a mountainous area. Officials believe the driver may have been speeding on the winding roads, causing him to lose control.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the crash site to assist the victims. Among the injured were four children, with two reported to be in critical condition, adding to the heartbreak of the already grim situation.
Authorities have confirmed that this is Bolivia’s deadliest road tragedy so far this year, underscoring the ongoing dangers posed by poorly maintained roads and reckless driving habits that plague the country.
