
Vice President J.D. Vance addressed rumors on Wednesday denying reports that President Donald Trump was unhappy with Elon Musk’s involvement in DOGE or that Musk planned to leave the administration. He called such reports “total fake news” during an interview on Fox News.
Vance specifically referred to a Politico article which claimed Trump had told cabinet members Musk would soon be “stepping back,” dismissing it as false.
He explained that Musk was brought in as a special advisor for a six-month project focused on improving government efficiency and cutting red tape, with no indication that Musk would be leaving anytime soon.
