Ben Affleck has recently purchased a $20.5 million equestrian estate in Los Angeles, just weeks after putting his home with Jennifer Lopez on the market amid rumors of marital tension. The 51-year-old actor, through a trust with his business manager, acquired the five-bedroom property last week from David Calvert-Jones, the nephew of media mogul Rupert Murdoch.
The property, located between Brentwood and Pacific Palisades, was originally designed in 1941 by renowned California architect Cliff May. While the home has undergone updates over the years, it still maintains a classic charm. The estate sits on nearly an acre and is described as a “garden retreat,” offering beautifully landscaped grounds.
The main house features an open floor plan, wood-beamed ceilings, and views of the gardens. It includes a chef’s kitchen, an office with a fireplace, and a tranquil primary suite. The property also boasts a family room, den, walk-in closets, and a media room.
Outdoor amenities include a pool, spa, two-story guest house, stables, walking ring, and tack room, making it a true equestrian estate. Affleck’s representative declined to comment on the purchase, and the agents involved also remained tight-lipped.
