On February 24, sharp-eyed viewers noticed what appeared to be a yellow bruise on the president’s right hand during his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in the Oval Office.

The bruise prompted many on social media to express worry about the 78-year-old president’s health, with some suggesting it could be a sign of a medical issue that required an IV drip or blood tests. The sight of the mark raised questions among viewers about his well-being.

However, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed the situation, explaining that the marks were simply the result of the president’s hectic schedule and frequent handshaking, dismissing any concerns about a serious health issue.
