A House Republican lawmaker has filed articles of impeachment against the federal judge who halted the Trump administration’s deportation flights under the Alien Enemies Act, according to an exclusive report by Fox News on Monday.
Rep. Brandon Gill, R-Texas, criticized the judge’s actions, saying, “For the past several weeks, we’ve seen rogue activist judges try to prevent the president from carrying out the mandate voters gave him and his constitutional duty to protect the American people.”
Gill described this incident as another example of a judge overstepping their authority, further asserting that such actions undermine the president’s ability to safeguard the nation.
