Tragedy struck in Idaho when 10-month-old Zeke Best was found dead, just a day after an Amber Alert was issued for him. His body was discovered 24 miles east of Idaho Falls. A hunter called police after spotting a man, later identified as Zeke’s father, Jeremy Albert Best, wrapped in a sleeping bag and acting strangely.
Jeremy Best had been wanted for questioning in the kidnapping of his son. Police found his vehicle off the road, and inside, they discovered Zeke’s lifeless body. This led to a deeper investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
Jeremy Best was also a suspect in the death of his wife, Kali Jean Randall. Her body was found at her home in Victor just a day before Zeke’s discovery. The Teton County Sheriff’s Office has ruled her death a homicide.

Best is currently in jail in Bonneville County, awaiting his arraignment. It is unclear if he has been assigned a defense attorney yet. The case has drawn attention as the investigation continues.

Authorities have offered their condolences to the victims’ family. The community is shocked by the events, and law enforcement remains focused on solving this heartbreaking case.
