
After two decades at Fox News, Geraldo Rivera is no longer with the network and recently spoke out about his exit during an appearance on The View. He revealed he had a “very toxic” relationship with a former co-host on The Five, though he didn’t name names.
Rivera’s departure followed months of on-air clashes with Greg Gutfeld, with their heated arguments becoming a regular feature on the show. Despite the tension, Rivera received a warm send-off with cake and colleagues wearing fake mustaches in his honor.
He admitted he never fully aligned ideologically with Fox News but stayed because of the platform. When tensions made it clear he could no longer continue on The Five, the network offered him a role on a different show.
Rivera declined the offer, saying he didn’t want to be demoted from Fox’s highest-rated program, and ultimately chose to walk away instead.
