David Beckham holds his children to high standards, and when it came to his son Brooklyn, he made sure one important family rule was followed. Brooklyn, now 26, had inherited his father’s love for tattoos, and Beckham was determined to be there for Brooklyn’s first ink.
In 2017, when Brooklyn was about to get his first tattoo, Beckham raced to stop him after hearing he was in a tattoo shop with his girlfriend. Beckham FaceTimed him and reminded him of the promise to share the experience together. “Remember, you promised me and I’m your dad, and I would feel really upset if you went through with it,” Beckham said.
Brooklyn listened and held off, allowing his dad to be present for the significant moment. Now, with over 100 tattoos, Brooklyn’s tattoo journey started with a meaningful family moment.
Recently, however, Brooklyn’s absence from David’s 50th birthday celebrations sparked rumors of tension between the Beckham family and Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz.
