In a heart-wrenching moment, Hallmark star Noel Johansen spoke at a vigil in Vancouver just days after his wife, costume designer Jenifer Darbellay, was tragically killed in a devastating crash. On Saturday evening, an Audi SUV, driven by a mentally ill individual, crashed into a crowd celebrating Lapu Lapu Day, claiming eleven lives and injuring many others. Johansen, who was injured along with his seven-year-old daughter Darby, bravely addressed the gathering while on crutches, tearfully sharing the loss of his wife.
Johansen, known for his roles in Psych, Supernatural, Fargo, and The Good Doctor, reflected on Jenifer’s selflessness, emphasizing how she always put others before herself. “She never celebrated herself,” he said, adding that she was “larger than life” for those who knew her. He urged everyone to live life fully, reach out to others, and remember those who have suffered such immense loss. Johansen’s heartfelt tribute moved the audience as he spoke about the tragedy that has forever altered his family.
