Body language expert Inbaal Honigman suggests Prince Louis was aware he “overstepped the mark” when he mimicked his older brother, Prince George, during the VE Day parade. As George ran his fingers through his hair, Louis exaggerated the gesture in a playful manner, which viewers found amusing.
Honigman explains that Louis, looking for fun, copied George’s grooming action, a common behavior among siblings who look up to each other. She notes their strong bond, as Louis felt comfortable making fun of George without fear of punishment.

The expert points out that George’s hair flick was a sign of wanting to be liked and appreciated, while Louis’ exaggerated version was playful and cheeky, signaling he was making fun. After the mimicry, George appeared offended, but Louis avoided eye contact, aware he might have gone too far.
Despite the playful moment, Honigman believes the brothers’ ability to joke around during such a formal event reflects their strong, trusting relationship.
