
Four Democratic members of the House visited El Salvador on Monday to urge President Nayib Bukele and the Trump administration to release Kilmar Ábrego García, a Maryland resident recently deported despite a court order prohibiting his removal.
The lawmakers were denied access to Ábrego García during their trip and responded by intensifying their demands. They called on the Trump administration to provide daily proof that he is alive, allow him access to legal representation, and work toward his immediate release.
