A United Airlines flight experienced chaos in midair when a rabbit became lodged in the right engine of the aircraft. The unexpected incident caused a massive explosion, sending flames shooting from the wing and forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing.
As the Boeing 737 took off from Denver heading to Edmonton, passengers heard a loud crash followed by violent shaking. Despite the disruption, the plane was able to continue its ascent for a brief period before it became clear something was wrong.
Passenger Scott Wolff described the terrifying experience, noting a loud bang and intense vibration during the flight. Despite the frightening noise, the plane was still able to climb initially before the situation escalated.
