
Senate Republicans have set an ambitious schedule to push forward President Donald Trump’s legislative goals during their current three-week work session that began on Monday.
Senate Majority Leader John Thune said he hopes both the Senate and House can agree on a compromise budget resolution by April 11. This resolution is a crucial step toward implementing Trump’s tax and spending plans.
Thune’s announcement came after House Republican leaders and committee chairs publicly called on the Senate to speed up its efforts in advancing the president’s agenda.
