The Story:
I had a fight with my boyfriend, and he made me leave our home. I was crying at work, and my boss offered to let me stay at his place, saying he had a wife. He explained the situation to her, but she didn’t seem happy.

They whispered to each other, then she came over, looked me in the eye, and said, “I know what you need to do. Get in the car.” We drove to my home, and I told her about my last three years with my boyfriend. When we got there, she came to the door with me.

My boyfriend opened it, and she threatened to call the police because he made me leave a house that was half mine. She also warned him that the police would find out about the times he stole from me.

She was so confident and strong that he got scared and agreed to leave the house until we figured things out. I moved back in, and two months later, I sold the place.

I never spoke to him again, but I value that day because she taught me how to stand up for myself and not let anyone take away my rights.
