McConnell Criticizes J6, Says He Hasn’t Spoken to Trump in ‘Awhile’


After stepping down from his Senate leadership role, Sen. Mitch McConnell has resumed criticizing President Donald Trump. In a “60 Minutes” interview with Leslie Stahl, the Kentucky Republican criticized Trump for pardoning those involved in the January 6th Capitol riot, while also revealing that he hasn’t spoken to the former president in “quite a while.” Trump granted pardons to nearly 1,500 individuals convicted for their involvement in the riot shortly after his inauguration on January 20th, 2021.
