Donald Trump once wanted comedian Simon Brodkin (aka Lee Nelson) deported after a prank during the 2016 re-opening of Trump Turnberry Golf Resort in Scotland. Brodkin interrupted the event by tossing Nazi-themed golf balls with swastikas, causing global headlines and an angry reaction from Trump.
Trump, now serving his second term as U.S. President after winning the 2024 election, is known for his love of golf and owns several lavish courses. He’s considered a skilled player who enjoys quick rounds on the green to unwind from political affairs.
Brodkin said Trump was furious and wanted to press charges, but Police Scotland talked him down and handled the situation calmly. Instead of jail time, they gave Brodkin a lift to the airport and told Trump he’d been deported.
This wasn’t Brodkin’s first high-profile stunt—he’s pranked the likes of Theresa May, Sepp Blatter, and Kanye West. Still, he admits some figures, like Kim Jong Un or the Queen, are off-limits due to the risk or backlash involved.
