A new campaign by YGAP, an Australian non-profit organization, has garnered attention as male celebrities across the globe share photos of themselves with one painted fingernail. While women are encouraged to participate, the campaign’s primary focus on men is driven by the troubling statistic that men are responsible for 90 percent of all sexual assaults against children.

The campaign’s slogan, “Nail it to end it,” aims to raise both awareness and funds to combat child sexual abuse, using the simple act of painting a single nail as a symbol. The goal is to spark conversations and drive donations to support programs that help prevent and recover from trauma.
The hashtags #PolishedMan and #nailedit have gone viral on social media, with several well-known celebrities joining in, including Australian stars Chris Hemsworth and Michael Klim, as well as Hollywood actor Zac Efron. These famous figures have proudly displayed their painted nails to support the cause.

So far, the Polished Man campaign has raised over $513,000 from 61,000 donors. The funds will go towards trauma recovery and prevention programs that benefit children who have been affected by sexual violence.

In addition to individual support, big businesses have also rallied behind the campaign, contributing to the cause. Their support will help fund vital programs aimed at protecting children and supporting survivors of trauma.
