
In a world where daily routines often drown out moments of genuine connection, one young Burger King employee’s simple act of kindness has touched hearts everywhere, reminding us of the power of empathy.
While working an evening shift, teenager Matthew Resendez was approached by a homeless man who had only 50 cents and wasn’t sure what he could buy. Rather than pointing him to the cheapest option, Matthew kindly asked, “If you could have anything, what would you want to eat?” Surprised, the man said any meal would do. Matthew then used his own debit card to buy him a full meal and welcomed him to sit and enjoy it comfortably.
